ABOUT

I'm Christine McIntosh, and I'm running for Cuyahoga County Council in District 11 because I've spent my career doing exactly what county government needs more of: rolling up my sleeves, building coalitions, and turning big ideas into visible results.

I've served as an elected city council member and today work as a city planner managing millions of dollars in projects that make neighborhoods safer, more connected, and more livable. That combination of policy perspective of an elected official and the on-the-ground execution of a planner, gives me a lens that is rare in county government.

At the county level, I want to make a bigger, more systemic impact. That means taking on poverty and affordability head-on, investing in job stability, and building innovation networks that turn Cuyahoga County's assets into lasting economic momentum. It means treating climate resilience as an opportunity not a threat. It means reimagining how we deliver safety and human services by supporting smarter approaches to diversion, behavioral health, and housing so that our jails aren't the default answer to problems that need healthcare solutions.

“McIntosh demonstrates the most complete understanding of the challenges facing Cuyahoga County. And her experience overseeing high-dollar capital projects is something her two opponents cannot match.”   -Editorial Board April 1, 2026
